A mysterious island. An abandoned orphanage. A strange collection of very curious photographs. It all waits to be discovered in Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, an unforgettable novel that mixes fiction and photography in a thrilling reading experience. As our story opens, a horrific family tragedy sets sixteen-year-old Jacob journeying to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the crumbling ruins of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores its abandoned bedrooms and hallways, it becomes clear that the children were more than just peculiar. They may have been dangerous. They may have been quarantined on a deserted island for good reason. And somehow β€” impossible though it seems β€” they may still be alive.

A spine-tingling fantasy illustrated with haunting vintage photography, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children will delight adults, teens, and anyone who relishes an adventure in the shadows.

REVIEW:

For me the book deserves 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 since I got so hooked with the whole  “PECULIARITY” thing. So I will tell you a bit more on why a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟   rating is to be given to this book.

When you start reading the book you’ll meet Jacob Portman a Normal looking boy that has these weird nightmares. He is also Fascinated with the stories of his Grandpa Portman. On the other hand Jacob’s Parents think that his Grandfather was Mentally Deranged because he was a soldier in World War II and they think that the war affected him mentally. Jacob begun his Adventure when his Grandfather suddenly died, his parents thought he was also in the verge of going crazy because they thought Jacob can’t cope up with the death of his Grandfather  so they got him a Doctor. Dr. Goland suggested that they should go to the place where Grandpa Portman’s stories came from. So they went to Cainholm Island in Wales. he went to the house that his Grandfather told him about but got disappointed because the house was a complete wreck. after a while the very first Peculiar Child showed up and it was Emma Bloom. Jacob met Miss Peregrine when he chased Emma through the Bog (a portal that brings you to the Loop) and when he got there he found out that he was Peculiar but they won’t tell him what his Peculiarity was so Jacob was Curious and Confused; Curious as to what was his Peculiarity and Confused as to why they won’t tell him. all he knew that he had a responsibility to save them and that is the best part of the book that I WON’T SPOIL. besides that Jacob meeting the Peculiar Children is also fun cause they all showed their Peculiarities.

The book is great since there are many characters most of them are the Peculiar Children and it was great how they acquainted you to each character. All the Characters were actually great but the ones that Got my attention was Jacob, Miss Peregrine, Emma (has the Peculiarity of Fire), Olive (has the Peculiarity of Air) and Bronwyn (has the Peculiarity of Strength). (THIS IS THE ONLY SPOILER YOU GET ABOUT THE PECULIAR CHILDREN!)

The book has these unique Pictures of the Peculiar Children that as I know  those pictures were real and none of it were photoshopped.and that was a great touch on the  book. I thought the book will be sloppy since there are tons of characters I thought it would cause Meyhem or something on every page. But no, Everything was On Point, Dialogues are exquisite, the Narrations were great. There were lines like this:

“Millard! Who’s the Prime Minister?”

“Winston Churchhill,” he said. “Have you gone daft?”

“What’s the capital of Burma?”

“Lord, I’ve no idea. Rangoon.”

“Good! When’s your Birthday?”

“Will you quit shouting and let me Bleed in peace!”

I won’t tell you which part this is from the book but this made me laugh so hard I swear. the author thought this one out and the outcome of this book was impressively Amazing.

And this is also a book that makes you want to kill the Antagonist yourself so it is another plus in the ratings for the book.

Now I’m Super EXCITED for the next book in this trilogy which is Hollow City

WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK?

DEFINITELY!!!!!!!!! This is a Wonderful book and a wonderful Trilogy. and also this book is now a Movie and will be released pretty soon. I also can’t wait to buy the Physical copies of the books of this Trilogy. this is a Series that you’ll love I promise this is ” A book that won’t ever bore you no matter how many times you read it.”
